Carry-forward hours may be applied to the total number of CPE hours due, but may not be used toward the 24 hour annual requirement. If non-technical hours are reported in excess of the allowed total, the additional hours will be deleted and may result in a CPE penalty if the deletion causes a shortage in total hours or a shortage in the 24 hour annual requirement.

No more than 16 hours of non-technical CPE may be reported.

Active licensees must submit at least 80 hours of CPE (unless prorated), including 4 hours of Oregon-specific ethics taken from a sponsor approved by the Board.

Lapsed licenses must be reinstated.Īll license statuses are required to complete the application in its entirety (CPE is not required for Retired status). The Board does not have the authority to waive the late renewal fee (ORS 673.150). Renewal applications received by online submission (credit card payments) or postmarked (check payments) after the June 30 deadline MUST include payment of the late renewal fee.

If you do not receive the renewal application sent to you by USPS, please use the fillable PDF application posted on the Board website. Renewal applications are mailed in May to licensees due for renewal and are sent to the address on file with the Board office. Our commitment is to process renewals as quickly as possible and to still provide significant notice to licensees who are in danger of lapsing on Augbecause of an incomplete renewal application. You can help us by responding to such outreach quickly, and by refraining at least until August 1 from calling or e-mailing us about the status of your renewal. To improve processing times, staff is reaching out informally to licensees by phone and e-mail to resolve problems on renewal applications without resorting to a formal written letter process whenever possible. The Board office is significantly understaffed and is processing renewals with a brand-new dedicated team of staff.
